Fred Levine is delighted to announce its opening of a new gallery in Bruton, Somerset, and it’s inaugural exhibition. Landscapes of Time and Memory, will feature a distinguished group of international and UK-based artists, including Rebecca Partridge, Fernando Casasempere, Silke Weißbach, Raffael Bader, Fred Sorrell, Elena Njoabuzia Onwochei Garcia, Abigail Booth, and Peter Matthews.

New Publication - Walk in Sizzling Air

With a prologue by Raffael Bader and a text by Chihiro Watanabe. Bader & Enari Gallery published the book in cooperation. Walk In Sizzling Air contains a selection of charcoal drawings from 2023 as well as installation shots of his solo exhibition at the Contemporary Art foundation in Tokyo.

Luminous Floating - solo exhibition - now open!

"This new body of work reflects a leap further into Bader’s study of light, its fleeting properties, and its relationship to nature and human perception. The exhibition title indicates the series’ central theme: how light “hovers” and “floats” through space and time, touching everything without prejudice while modifying how it is seen. The concept of floating implies a weightless, suspended condition, which reflects the delicate and elusive character of light in Bader’s work."

Opening: 25 October, 5-8 pm

Bright Day Gathering

My debut print release, ‘Bright Day Gathering’, will be launching exclusively through RHODES Editions on October 24th at 4 PM (BST).

"We are thrilled to collaborate with Bader on this exciting new release, marking the artist’s first-ever print available to the public. ‘Bright Day Gathering’ is an exquisite, multi-layer woodblock print, produced at one of London’s most renowned specialist studios.

Imagine a field of glowing embers, each one contributing to a shared heat. This exhibition unites five artists from across the globe, all of whom explore the theme of transformation in their work. For some, this transformation is rooted in the very materials and methods they employ. For others, it is captured through representation — presenting an image or object that embodies reflections on change. Embracing natural processes of decay and evolution, whether in the environment or the human body, these artists also convey a humility in the face of the world’s systems, acknowledging their small yet significant agency within a much larger context.

Walk in Sizzling Air - Solo Show in Tokyo

„Contemporary Art Foundation is pleased to present "Raffael Bader: Walk in Sizzling Air" from August 25 to September 22, 2023. This exhibition marks the first solo exhibition in Japan by the artist.  The artist's work joined the collection of Yusaku Maezawa the founder and chairman, in 2022. In this exhibition, around 10 paintings from the collection will be exhibited for the first time in Japan.“
